MIKE PARKER (Geophone / Prologue) New York
DISKONNECTED (Smoke Machine) Taipei
MEUKO! MEUKO! live
Mike Parker lives and works in Buffalo, New York. When he is not twisting analogue frequencies in the studio he lectures fine art at Daemen College.
For more than 20 years, American artist Mike Parker has perfected a unique interpretation of techno music. His abstractions of sound and texture are now instantly recognizable to contemporary audiences. His long running series of 12” records on the Geophone imprint established his sonic persona and other labels took notice; Prologue, Mote-Evolver, Semantica, Time To Express and Spectral Sound, to name a few.
In recent years, several tours across Europe and Japan have enabled Mike Parker to spread his sound further, DJing on the sound systems which best deliver the depth and power of his music. His influence and impact on modern techno are now evident.

EXHIBITION 3 荷蘭藝術家 DIT IS KIRSTEN SWENSEN
Kirsten Swensen, Dutch photographer, vj and visual artist living in the city of Eindhoven will create an installation for the DIT IS TAIPEI afterparty, together with Smoke Machine and DIT (‘Do It Together’) at Korner in Taipei.
With a profound interest in the nexus of art & technology and with a background in photography, Kirsten started making audio-visual installations and generative art. Swensen’s works has multiple forms such as interactive installations, visual performances and video art pieces. Her works are shown at international festivals and museums including Van Abbe Museum (NL), Adelaide Festival (AU), Glow (NL), Museum Of Transitory Art/MoTa (SL).
After publications in photography magazine New Dawn and German photography and literature mag, Der Greif and exploring the dance scene for a while she is now diving into the worldwide underground experimental and techno scene. Next stop: Korner! After showing her work during one of the exhibitions being held on September 2nd and 3rd at Treasure Hill Artist Village (THAV) during edition zero of DIT IS TAIPEI her work will be elevated in a surprisingly mesmerizing way at the after. All night long…
For her VJ-Sets she developed an entirely unique software. This software responds immediately to various sound frequencies and movement, turning image & data into algorithms. As a VJ she prefers to work with a clear concept, based on the existing reconstructing of an image. She is particularly interested in the way sound reacts to live visuals. “I was curious what it would be like to turn a picture into a dynamic, shifting landscape of movement and sound, and how this would effect an audience.” With her software she can render everything live. Inspired by the universe, Kirsten tries to create a virtual experience.
